<div class="IPBDescription">It might not do what you think</div>Apparently upgrading resource towers only increases the amount of personal resources (plasma) and does NOT affect the team resources at all. A fully upgraded res tower will spit out 2 personal and 1 team resource every 12 seconds. I know most of us think it increases both. I blame NS2HD for spreading the lie (j/k, great work). Anyway, knowing that, upgrading a resource tower is a fairly poor investment. Trading team resources for personal resources is a bad exchange rate IMHO.
Perhaps each upgrade level should increase personal resource production by 33.3% and team resources by 16.6%. This would mean a fully upgraded tower would have the output of 1.5 unupgraded towers and would maybe justify the cost. As is, I don't think any commander should be upgrading res towers...it's a waste IMHO.

It's useful if your team is dying a lot, and it will probably be more useful when there are jetpacks and upgrades to spend plasma on, but at the moment yes it's not too useful.
Not that I'm aware, I've always been aware that it's plasma only, I never thought it was carbon because it says so on the upgrade that it's only plasma. I don't know why people think otherwise.
NS2HD mentions (incorrectly) that it generates team resources in many of his videos. I think that's a big source of confusion.
Hmm never noticed that.
Hopefully his trip to UWE will straighten out some of the confusion & he'll be more careful with facts. NS2HD is just a fan making videos, but people take a lot of what he says as canonical.
Love his videos though.
I totally missed that then. Now I feel bad about all the games I wasted carbon upgrading extractors.
