Flashlight for aliens?

Aliens need a nightvision, can you not just add the same flashlight like the marines got just with some changes:

1. Only the alien can see their own flashlight
2. The flashlight has a bigger range
3. the color is green or grey
4. same as marine FL it can turn on and of with F

    I was thinking about this the other day actually.

    In L4D(2), when you play as a member of the Infected everything is lit different via shaders or filters or something and it making navigating the maps much easier.

    Having something like this for the NS2 Aliens (either by default (ala NS1) or via a purchasable upgrade "Improved Hive Sight" or whatever) would be great.

    It's definitely worth looking into.

    the problem with this type of flashlight, aliens need to be able to see their targets highlighted, without being distracted by the environment around them. Now, if their vision brightens up in dark places, while their targets become more highlighted, it would be great since its easier to focus on the target - especially for close combat fights.

    I made same thread months ago about same problem, pretty much angry of how aliens had no flashlight at all, and darkness only made for worse fights for aliens sometimes. I was told that developers are working on something, but didn't go into too much detail, but it should be released later on.

    I just hope whatever developers will make its good alien flashlight, because ns1 flashlight was simple, and perfect. targets were highlighted, and it was easy to spot any marine in darkness corner, and close combat fighting were easy because you never miss highlighted target. I hope more information regrading this would be added so at least we know how they want it to work.
