<div class="IPBDescription">with tendrils</div>Tendrils would grow randomly out of infestation. They would be slender and somewhat long -- perhaps a bit like grass. If left alone, they would sway or oscillate slowly. They would "lean" towards nearby marines. At their most basic, they would not affect gameplay at all, besides adding a bit of movement to hide in.
Optional enhancements:
- If a marine touches the tendril, it would emit a sound and even slow down the marine somewhat (10%?) for a second or two. The tendrils would be sparse enough (6+ feet apart) so a marine could easily walk around it without being affected.
- Gorges could also be given the option to place them.
- Each time a tendril is touched, it gets a bit longer -- making its reach farther.

I don't know, Whip has the tentacle role and Hydras for scenery and area defense, it would be cool nonetheless.
I love that idea! Imagining DI altering the environment to provide better camouflage (like in Aliens) for the Kharaa sends chills down my spine.
