I'm sure there is a reasonable explanation. Well, if it's re-downloading the entire sound library (which as far as I can tell, it is) that's 300-400 MB in itself. The remaining 475-575MB is unaccounted for as of yet.

Sound still cut out for me after about 15mins of play. Rifle fire was the only thing that could activate anysound afterwards and would sometimes sound muffled.

15 minutes!? Mine was gone almost within 2 minutes. :-(

I'm pretty sure it's a client-side matter. The server transmits events, it's up to the client to materialize them (in the form of graphics and sound), and it's plainly obvious events like biting\shooting\jumping are indeed sent to the client.
Well it looked like it was fixed but it is not. Still have sound issues.
First entry into game rines gun still sounds like firing when you stop pulling the trigger 4 seconds ago. Then the sound drops again at some point in the game. Server and my game were both updated to 164.

Nah it's not. I updated my own server to 164, and my client, so I can confirm I was playing on 164-164 and i lost sound.

Disappoint.

Or I might be totally wrong, but whatever.

Can anyone confirm this?

Bandwidth waste!

Nice though, looking forward to giving it a bash.
