Mod Problem - Hl Custom Game

I had problem with installation of NS. Everythink was fine until I started to create my first game on LAN. First thing visible was list of maps from original HL. So I tried to connect to internet but I was unable to reach NS servers. Only way how to fix this was to run originial HL itself - from hl.exe and:
1 - choose Custom game
2 - choose Natural Selection
3 - Activate
Until then everything was fine. But I found the solution on the fact, that I have some previous experiences with that problem. My friends also installed NS and they encoutered same problem as I did.
Please inform about that 'cause I believe that many newbies unable to start the game properly will uninstall it or at least be **obscenity** off <!--emo&:(--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/sad.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='sad.gif'><!--endemo-->
Anyway. NS looks cool and I hope (along with my many friends) that you will make patch soon <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo--> Motion animations tuned up will be highly welcomed <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->

this is how I fixed it:
Go to the shortcut, right-click, click on properties, and in the start in box put the path to your halflife folder, then click on apply.
