Four Simple Ideas

At least I think they're simple..
I was playing NS1 again yesterday (still brilliant!) and I thought of a couple of simple ideas that might be nice in NS2, perhaps; well, only two are actually directly related to NS1, however, and the other ideas just struck me soon after. Anyway, they are:
1) Little +1/+2/+3s scrolling upwards from resource collectors, just like in NS1. Obviously this doesn't change the game at all, but seeing as you can upgrade your resource collectors in NS2 I thought it might be nice to have some visual representation of the upgrades you've done - also, there's just something satisfying about 'combat text' scrolling up above things in a 3D environment... No, just me? :)
2) 'Q' for last used weapon to quickly switch between primary and secondary weapons, and back again. Again, just like NS1 had. It was exceptionally useful to be able to fast-switch between your primary and secondary weapon when you've unloaded a clip on one of them. Would this unbalance things, though, making marines a bit better and too good? Or is it just because of the added animations when you draw a weapon that would stop it being doable in NS2? Either way, it's not a biggy, just something I miss from NS1 and was wondering why it's not included in the keybinds of NS2.
3) Toggle crouch?
4) Toggle map?
I can't see the disadvantage of adding toggle options for crouch and the map, so you can bind a toggled crouch/map or non-toggled crouch/map dependant on preference?
Seeing as these ideas aren't very deep, I thought they might at least be easy(ier) to implement if they were liked?
Sadly I've not had a chance to look through these forums too extensively yet, so I don't know if any of the above suggestions have cropped up already? If so, please let me know, and if they were received favourably or whatnot?

As for the rest, I don't see a reason why not. Sounds good.

It's easier to press Q than 1 or 2. True story.
For you that may be but I think I prefer to use 1 and 2 etc.
But of course as it is currently like that I am happy with it already but if they add a Q button then everyone will be happy!
Just turn the mousewheel. It's as fast as pressing Q.
Plus pressing a button is faster than rolling a wheel anyway.
If I'm at the point where I'm desperate enough to use my third weapon, then I'll be desperate enough to 'go the extra distance' as far as pressing a keyboard button goes.
As it is, though, in any Source game I play, upon spawning I will always select my secondary, and press Q to switch back to my primary - so that they're both ready for when I need to switch.
Also, I find mousewheel cumbersome; since I keep my index on my LMB, and my middle on my RMB, I would necessarily have to move one or the other finger; or else adapt myself to use my ring finger on the RMB. Not very keen. If I had a better mouse, and this option were available, I would just bind lastinv to a side-button on the mouse.
Also, I find that mousewheel is reversed to how I expect it - I can't even remember how it is now, I just know that for example I'm expecting to go to a higher weapon, but it goes to lower weapon, and vice versa.
