    Been that in everything online since UT99, sometime with clan tags but always NeoSniper. For example [DJMM] NeoSniper when playing L4D2 with my DJMM buddies.

    For those who don't know, in steam you can change you game-name from the "friends" menu. I can't really check the exact menu path on this computer right now, but I know if you change in steam there then it will change automatically for most games (including NS2). Neat thing about this is that you can see the name history of your friends in case you don't recognize someone in your list due to a name change.

    Actually it doesn't do it for NS2. NS2 has its separate name option in-game.

    This is why I started my name back in the very early days of NS1. I would see TONS of people coming in with NSPlayer so I went with Player_2b nmd L8R. Corny I know but I held onto it.

    Now it is just Playa_2B. I use that in most all my online games.

    Maybe people could list their NS1 clans and servers they were on to so some would know them even more so.

    I was in YCSP clan (yo comm, shotgun please) We played mainly on Scott's House of Alien Rampage server. Also Guns 4 back to school, Bad co. and Freaks server.

    Just L. The practical reason is that L is short and sweet so people can type my name fast. The "cosmetic" reason is that I like Death Note I guess... I kind of formed the name in parallel with those two reason.

    I guess I could set my name as Z but I can't be bothered to change it.
