I don't see "Fixing broken doors" on that progress bar.

This does not make me a happy fade.

I am almost certain they are already fixed in 174, based on a playtest earlier this week.

If you don't see it, it isn't there. Bang tidy.

The broken doors have already been fixed. Most likely there will be another patch this week to address the door problem.

So Onos next patch (or soon)? That's my guess for the reason of the bug. We know Jetpacks have been done for a long time now. Might as well put them both in at the same time.

Yes, jetpacks were basically ready in the first "beta" patch. I don't know if you still can do it or not, but you could give yourself a jetpack in game with cheats enabled. The model is done and the sounds were done. The propulsion was not quite done. UWE had screenshots of jetpacks last July.

haha, model and sounds done doesn't mean the jetpack is done. That's like saying you've got the cover of your book all ready and you know what bookstores will sell it, but you just haven't written the words yet.

Can't find the post right now, but I remember players asking if the jetpack was going to be in the alpha release, and UWE said it was planned, but it wasn't quite done and should be in the next few patches. That surely hinted they were very close, and I suspect it's basically finished 7 months later. They just don't want to release it without an alien counter being available.

    This.

I'm sure there are still a multitude of bugs to fix with it, but it sounded like the basic physics, model, and sound were finished. I suspect they could put it in within a day, but are holding off until performance is better/early skulk-marine combat is more balanced.

^^ When you have the models, textures, commander menu entries, sounds, and most (if not all) of the lua code, then I would assume they are only holding out on releasing it for lack of a counter on the alien side.
