Commander mode needs a smoother interface

Unless I'm missing some critical hotkeys, the commander chair on both sides needs a rather large overhaul.
1) Drag off screen to move the focus area on the map (Like all RTS games). It would allow a smoother feel than having to go click minimap.
2)Proper hotkeys or control bindings without having it jump the screen to wherever that unit is. For example, being on the Alien side, selecting a drone to go put an extractor up, and notice the DI hasn't spread far enough. So I click the button just above map or press 1, and the screen flies over to where the hive is. Now I have to click the map again to bring it back over to that same resource spot. I can then place some DI, but if the drone never quite made it to the extractor point originally (got stuck on something) when I click the drone button, it jumps right to it. If this happened in starcraft or something it would drive you nuts. As the com role is mainly that of an RTS, if some of the fluid mechanics to the control could be added somehow, it would make it a great experience.
3) Make escape a hotkey to get out of the chair instead of clicking. This applies both for the evolution (b) menu and the com menu.
Great job so far,
Thanks!

Doesn't it already do this? I'm pretty sure I would have noticed, because that's how I play RTSes...

+1
Anything to make killing that pesky skulk faster and easier
2) is definitely annoying. It should be: click (or hotkey) once, then select the unit only; click (or hotkey) a second time, then also center the view on the unit.
3). Yes please.
If not that at least maybe full access to setting our own keyboard shortcuts?
I don't believe it scrolls, at least not for me at this time.
"Drag off screen to move the focus area on the map (Like all RTS games)"
In addition, I would like to see
1. Key customizable so I can move movement to WASD and structure shortcuts to the numpad
2. Zoom, rotate, and tilt controls for the comm-view
3. Ability to enable/disable different layers based on map height (e.g. turn off clipping and being able to select map geometry above a certain height so I don't drop packs and structures on or above the map by accident)
Ya think? Is it that necessary? And wouldn't that add to the hassle of comming?

Yes, dammit! This must happen!
