<div class="IPBDescription">Marine + the rifle</div>Is is possible to load the marine with the rifle, or any other weapon in the model viewer? Right now I only seem to be able to do just the marine without a weapon.

I'm talking about the model viewer that comes along side the map maker and particle maker.

When you open the model viewer you can load the marine model to look at it. However, I'm not sure how to equip him with a rifle.

I want to be able to do this so I can make some cool art.

I think he is talking about the tool... the Model Viewer tool.

I've only played with that tool.
you might want to go to the mapping and modding forums.

No, sorry, at the moment the model viewer doesn't support showing weapons along with the marine animations. A new, separate model of the marine with rifle included needs to be exported out, which is something we did for our cinematics.

    Thanks for the reply.

Is there any way I can get my hands on that model? I wish create some great art for my NS2 site, and I planned to take pictures inside the model viewer and layer my own map in the background. I thought this was the best way to create something exciting.

    Pretty please : p

You'd probably find it pretty easy to stand a Marine behind a dark area, shine a light at him, and take a screenshot.

My models/cinematics/ folder seems to have disappeared from the steam build... I will try to make sure that gets into the next build! It has various models of the marine in regular and special armor wielding the rifle, shotgun, and flamethrower.

Share it? What do you mean?

It will be a bit of time before it launches, it is quite an ambitious project.
