Limiting motion tracking to powered areas

So if they implement motion tracking, which I'm under the preference they're going to and some point, I think a wonderful way to handle it and make it more fair would be to limit its use within powered areas. If the aliens take down power in an area motion tracking ceases to work.

This helps tie game mechanics and outcome to the dynamic power/lighting system. It also gives aliens and marines more of a reason to focus on keeping territory under their control so they can keep power either off or on.

Pretty simple idea, but I think it could add another layer to the game and dynamic lighting/power system.

I think an even better idea would be to use all this swanky new tech to do something other than wallhacks decals.

They could do much more with it, make it a vision mode like alien vision, highlighting moving objects in brighter colours, whatever the objects, but stationary objects would be hard to distinguish from the background, even if it's an alien sitting right in front of you.

Of course tying it to powered areas would be interesting too, but I think mostly what it needs is to not be NS1 motion detection.

I support this too. As you say it will really improve the need to destroy/repair powernodes.
