I have had problems with this map before but this is different...
When I ever I load up Tram on LAN or a public hosted server, I have really wierd graphics bugs. Half of the graphic models for building like the Hive and the IP ect are missing (invisible) and I also get really low framrate, I can't see the console or any text, and the score board is just blank lines. I have tried reinstalling the game but it didnt help.
Edit: Uninstalled Combat Mod seems to have fixed some of the issues some how...crazy...but I still can not host a game LAN.

Edit: Also, now I can not even load that map. Note: All the other maps load fine and smooth as butter with no major bugs.

Odd, map loads up correctly for me since the update

So does the game hang when the map tries to be loaded or does it not load at all?
THAT IS EXACTLY HOW MINE LOOKS!!!
For some reason steam wouldnt let me take a screenshot of that, and when I went to turn fraps on it crashes, and I cant even load up the game again if fraps is on in the background.
Maybe you can try removing NS2 (and all related data) and reinstalling it?
Btw my specs:
CPU:Intel Core i7 920
RAM:6GB Corsair Triple Channel DDR3
Motherboard: MSI x58 Platinum SLI
GFX Card: EVGA 9800 GTX+ Superclocked 512mb SLI
HDD: 500GB
OS: Windows 7 Professional, 64-bit.
The 9800+ might be the problem. I was having serious problems with that card in the alpha builds. After people on this forum told me how out of date the card was, I upgraded to a 560 Ti (not the only reason). But they were right. The 9800+ is just too old for the beta and I've never looked back. Great FPS with the i5/i7. However, as I said, I still have artifacts on the Tram map with my rig. It loads fine, but certain structures (it changes every game) don't render right and is unplayable. Rockdown and Summit have no issues at all. I don't know what causes it, as I know players with the same rig as me and they don't have any artifacts on Tram, so it might not be hardware related.
Everything turns into the squares; the writing turns into squares; checkered pattern on structures, and other stuff as well.
Also, while on the topic of Tram Problems, towards the end of a game I sometimes get a black screen. But this black screen only appears in certain areas of the map. When I exit this areas (Blind at this point) the screen will return to normal. No idea what causes it but I have an inkling that it could be the structures/lights/bloom. This most commonly happens on the North Exit of Marine Start.
Now NS2 only run for me when I disable SLI and use 1 card as a dedicated Physx card. My frame rates are now between 20 -35 which is still playable, but not as smooth as it use to be which sucks!
Maybe it's time for a new card, any suggestions?

ATI 8-)
Considering the reports about glitches and stuff disappearing, I'd say tram is just hitting some kind of engine/video card bottleneck for weaker/certain system configurations.
With my old system I had stuff disappearing or props not loading their textures all the time, when too much was visible at once.
While Olmy did a truly amazing job on the detail in this map, which is one reason it looks more like a real place than any other map, the engine doesn't seem up to the task to deal with it, yet.
If you check the draw calls in the tram tunnel curves, especially while moving player and view, you can see them hitting 3000 occasionally (avg ~2000), while draw call peaks in summit are around 1800 (avg ~1000).
Add to that a huge number of sounds and reverbs, particles and probably also more light sources, which probably all adds up.
So i don't know where all the stuff is hidden in tram.
I remember trying to tell people on the server but i guess they couldnt SEE the problem :)
(btw this is not a joke. REAL BUG)
