Motion Tracking should be an Spell

The NS1 implementation of motion tracking was researched and then it was ON for everyone.
I would like to see the new implementation to be a castable localized (some range) temporary spell.
This would mean it would cost money or energy or res and it would be something done by the commander
to give tactical information on a certain area for his marines.
I remember it becoming the first upgrade marines got in NS1 games and once it occurred, the ambush part of the game was over for the aliens.
It made it extremely easy to simply wait for them to come around corner and blast them.
Thoughts?

...did you even read the post?
Requiring the Commander to activate Motion Tracking all the time would become tedious and Motion Tracking would not provide the measure of predictability or security it currently does. If it isn't already, I think Motion Tracking should require the upgrade for each Observatory and only work in a limited range from said Observatory. Universal Motion Tracking destroys all late game stealth play.
Kuban I like your thought better.
(I also like that you can read)
I realized that a spell might be burdensome, but it was the best I could come up with for discussion.
and I really would like to prevent 'Universal Motion Tracking'.
If it is always on then it should still be pricey.
Putting it attached to the Observatory would make it a bit harder to finish the marine base (the likely place for an observatory),
But the marine base should be beat by more than stealth anyways.
It would make an interesting game for commanders who invested heavily in Observatories in all their forward bases.
Wow, why the hell didn't I think of that!
Gives more prevalence to taking out Power Nodes.
