<div class="IPBDescription">Since the recent patch there appear to be less servers, 0 players in e</div>Since the recent patch there appear to be less servers, 0 players in each server, and when I attempt to join a server my game freezes somewhere in the loading process.

Is this happening to anyone else?

    i heard people had that problem before, with older patches. It turned out restarting steam often solved the problem.

    I just saw it yesterday, going from server to server (testing the rifle lag lua code on a live server) and it seems that this is more likely to occur the more servers you join during on session of NS2. I usually just stick to one server and when I play some more, I most likely have NS2 closed and have to start it once more...


    T'was a screen of black death which occurred for me, window mode saved me some annoyances though...

    I've restarted steam many times. It doesn't change anything. I can only see 5 servers (3 of which have decent ping). Would a game re-install help?

    It "could" help, did you have NS2 installed for a long time or is it already a fresh install? There is a slim chance for something to get slightly corrupted with constantly updating instead of a fresh install. Before you reinstall I'd try the steam "verify integrity" to see if that does anything...

    I think it's a server problem. Certain servers seem to break at some point and then any time you try and join you just get a black screen (you can still disconnect through console though). Other servers you can join with no problems.

    Is it normal to only see about 3 servers with below 100 ping? (i've only ever seen 10-15 servers max)

    If not, what could be causing my inability to see servers? (I live in texas so location isn't the issue - and no router)
