<div class="IPBDescription">it's too dark</div>This is probably around here somewhere but I couldn't find it.

I think that it's annoying to place structures and see what's going on sometimes when I command the khaara team.
As the power-nodes are pretty much always destroyed in a khaara room it's very dark/red so I think the khaara commander should see better in the dark.

but maybe I am the only one, what do you think?

Try using the console command r_mode unlit, everything should be very visible naow.

Maybe all of the rooms could have "kharra lights" (placed by the mappers). These would be rendered only on the Kharra side -- for both the commander as well as other aliens not in special vision mode.

You shouldn't have to use a console command to play the game.

I'd actually like to see the alien commander be able to use alien vision. That would solve most of the problem.

I'm afraid neither particle effects (such as spore/umbra/flame) nor Croach will be visible in Dark Vision. So a more thorough solution is needed.

A better solution would be nice, but as a quick-fix it would do. Also, pustules help a bit with the 'can't see DI' problem because you'll have an approximate idea of location of the DI based on the pustule location.

just increase the minimum light strength of any light source you can see when you are alien commander.

A simple shader effect would probably make a fine quick fix to this really.
