I Think Ns Is Balanced Fine The Way It Is...

I dont think there should be any major changes made to NS in the area of Balance. I feel NS is very balanced as it is. Alien of people think Aliens are too strong, i dont. I have yet to lose to aliens while commanding, so i dont see how the Alien are "too strong".

Both teams have thier weekness's and thier strong points, you just need to use them to your advantage.

Im just letting everyone know how i feel because right now, NS is my favorite game in the whole world, i cannot get to sleep until like 2 o'clock on the morning because all i can think about is NS. I think it would really suck bad if they nerfed some of the good things about NS because some newbies who played it for 5 mins say "its too hard" Becaues yes, when i was a newbie i use to think the Aliens were WAY too strong too, but all it requires is a little bit of jumping around in order to defeat them.

This is just my 0.02$ USD, you can add on if you want.

    Its hard to say casue ive won and lost many times as both races, but there is times where something happens that screams inbalance.

    There is just times where somthing was planned so perfect it should have worked then the other team pulls out something that not only defeats your plan, its crushes it madly into the floor and no matter what you try you just cant stop it.

    Like on BAST, i find that if i dont build seiges in main base at start of game i lose. The reason, defense and offense chambers come up in aft juntion and then fades own us through that vent.

    Now i would say INBLANACE that vent is to good for Aliens, and as i said if the seiges go up its stopped, but sometimes with skulk rushes going on and the need for resources, by the time u got enought for those seiges u got fades knocking at your door.

    Really i guess there might be no INBALANCE, it just seems that the BALANCE is lost if 1 team has 1 more player or if 1 team gains an upper hand at any moment. Its very hard to combat. VERY HARD.

    So i guess take it as you will, i havnt complained about INBALANCE and i really am not trying to here, its just the last 2 days of playing marines have opened my eyes a bit more to the complaints of players. But i usually just call em n00bs and disregared there bantering of INBALANCE.

    i think most of the issues you just mentioned are the result of strategies. You will never get anywhere if you do not have a good strategy, and in most cases the team with the best strategy will win. Like Warcraft kinda, your cant just go building stuff for no reason, or else you will get beat bad.

    yeah its the strategy but as i said there is times when all the strategy in the world wont save u cause of lame stuff.


    Like another time on bast [ <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo--> love that map] i was commanding, we had feedwater, atm processing and were moving on refinery then the fades came and blasted our base, we defended it very well but i look up and FEEDWATER is completly overrun and up and they got ONOS, and im like WTF!

    Then it hits me... i kept hearing about how our buildings where under attacking and they were at our base, but they were also at our HIVE, but i didnt realize becaue i was franticly trying to fend of fades at our base giveing med and orders and Hmgs that i figured the voice was talking about the spawn and it was, but also hive.

    And the aliens didnt even plan that it just worked out that way. I guess maybe the voice could maybe someday tell u where the buildings under attack are located cause when u ahve lots of bases its hard to know whats being attacking where.

    Thats not really an inbalance issue, but an example of that something so small and irritating can destroy tactics easily, so dont neccissarly say that its the fault of strategy when it COULD be a balance issue.

    yeh, it would be extra cool if instead of just saying "our base is being attacked" it also said where at. That same problem happened to be a few times, but we had so much nodes anyways that it hardly affected us.

    <span style='color:blue'> </span> it is pretty well balanced.. but if mars have good commander and skilled players they can easily over come aliens no problem.. but if there is a bit of trouble in the players or the commander slot the mars have a hard time pushing aliens back. so it just comes down to player skill in the long run.. i see.. <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/wink.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='wink.gif'><!--endemo--> but never know.. just MHO

    ive had mixed feelings in the pasyt, but since the server patch, ive realised just how incredibly balanced this game is. i cant even believe it. yes, their are bugs and exploits, but they will be fixed. but the basics of this game... wow. there are so many levels. i mean... i cant even describe it. the game has nearly NO imbalance. there is a counter for basically everything. aliens complain about seige turrets, but then, aliens have onos.... i mean.. theres always something...

    i am still amazed by this game.
