Visual indication of research

<div class="IPBDescription">Structures researching are visibly apparent</div>Would like to see some sort of glow on alien structures, and/or some sort of light on rine structures indicating that they are currently researching something.

Would also like a recycle animation + sounds on building beings recycled.


What do you guys think.?

    Decent idea, would give aliens some indication of which buildings to prioritize an attack on, and not unrealistic. Considering the level of difficulty to implement would seem lowish, this could be a nice idea for overall game polish.

    I thought this feature was already functional? When a Structure is upgrading is plays an animation it normal does not. For example, gears shifting in the Robotics Factory. I am mainly upset that their are no visual indicators on what your current Armor/Weapons -or-Melee/Defense levels. This was possible in NS1 and was such an amazing feature to have.

    I expect the scoresheet, or something similar, maybe another "scoresheet" but it's just data. Right clicking on scoresheet toggles it to show rts, research, tech, squads, etc?

    I have idea for visual appearance of marine buildings recycle:
    Do you remember portal ? When you throw something into disintegration field (or try to get cube / camera into next level) ?
    The item just blacks .. slowly try ho tower in middle air .. and very slowly vanish in the air.

    The same effect can be performed in NS2.
    1.) Set black texture / material on to the building.
    2.) hover the building in the air until it's not recycled.
    3.) depend of recycle % - set building's opacity.

    almost recycled building will have 90% or 99% opacity and will not block the view, also they will not attract the aliens.

    Maybe something like in SC2 when protoss phase in/out buildings?
