Prop_dynamic
<div class="IPBDescription">how does it function?</div>So, it seems to me that prop_dynamic is "inconsistent". That is to say I dont really understand what it is, or what its actually doing. I can get a fanblade model to animate using prop_dynamic, but changing the model from the fan to the hologram yielded no animation at all, despite the fact that I only took the currently functioning prop dynamic and changed the model. So my question would be, what does prop_dynamic actually do? is there some inherent animation built into each model that it activates? Is it only for making rotation?
Any info regarding it would be nice.. so I dont have to do failed tests over and over. Im guessing what I want to do (just add rotation to the hologram model) is probably best done as a cinematic, but more than that, I would like to understand what prop_dynamic does, so I can know when it is best to use it.
I also noticed that certain static props have some animation(some of the computer terminals, just screens that have a bit of animation) How does this relate to prop dynamic, if at all, and how would you disable or enable such animations, if possible.
Just lookin for a bit of info if anyone knows.

The screens on the terminals are external animation AFAIK, are they still using Flash for this guys?
