Crags\Whips should exhaust some umbra/fury when nearing death

<div class="IPBDescription">makes sense</div>Was playing alien comm the other day and had the idea that crags and whips should discharge at least one burst of umbra/fury before they die as a self defense mechanism. This is assuming there is still energy left to do so. Thoughts?

I like it. Or they could use them under the condition that they're under attack, and their health is low (<30%).

I'd also prefer the radius of effect of Umbra and Fury be increased slightly (from 6 to 7 for Umbra, and from 6 to 9 for Fury).

Fury is quite underused especially, and its (up to 10 times!) stacking effect can never be fully achieved in a game. Bunching that many Whips together only cause them to be killed together in seconds. Perhaps the ability to stack Fury should be removed, and the magnitude of the effect could be increased to compensate (+20% attack speed, +20% damage).

whips anyway need some buff :) you played my mod, so you see how it could be done in a non overpowered way (although I should tweak the numbers more).
and fury, well its absolutely underused and the crag as well. if you press a button, it should have a direct effect, otherwise why would you want to press that button? :D

I still say Lerks should have umbra and fury(primal) back and something more fitting given to those two structures.

But I'm all for a bit of automation in emergencies on all the structures, perhaps even the ability, with sliders, to set it yourself someday. (Slider: Health>X = perform Y if Damage is taken)

im against automation. there should be a difference between good and professionals (and bad of course). a commander should be able to have major influence on the outcome of the game

otherwise you can call it spectator mode instead of commander mode

When I am commander I use both of them, but Fury is often useless. It AOE is way too smal. I often want to use it but the skulk is just outside the circle or runs away at the moment i press E.

Also the Umbra/Fury animation isn't played. So you don't know if it works or not.

I'd still argue if not for the automation which was an afterthought to see lerk get back these abilities, they're rather limited in use in a stationary object, and yes the whip still counts as this, it needs to root first anyways and damage resist buff or not is still an awful way of distributing fury.

you might be right. somehow is fury a defensive ability, because you will not be able to get it to the frontlines (in time) and can use it only in the defense. it would be better if the lerk has this ability (or any mobile life form, it could even be the drifter, but that would not fit somehow :D )

the whip still would have bombard.
