A: up until MWLL 0.3.2 we supported Crysis. With our latest release 0.4.0 we also support Crysis Wars. After 0.5.0 we will only support Wars.
Yes, MechWarrior: Living Legends will be made available free of charge.

Someone always has to be the last to know of course.
No!
A joystick is strongly recommended against - the basic gameplay of the game is handled more than well enough on the keyboard, and aiming is aiming and thus a mouse or trackball is the best for that.
That isn't to say there aren't advantages - I have an extremely unique setup myself. I play with my mouse in my right hand and my joystick in the left. How fast I move forward or backward is determined by how far forward or back I tip the joystick. If I let go, the throttle goes to zero. If I push it all the way forward, maximum speed forward. This lets me use analog input for steering, and lets me adjust my throttle much quicker on the fly. All the switches on the stick have a purpose - the small thumb switch fits under my palm and if I squeeze my hand, it actuates the switch to the right, I have that bound to MASC so I can quickly turn it on and off by application of simple pressure.
It's an extremely fun and effective setup, but very hard to get used to and even harder to set up. I can only think to do it with CH Products setup due to their scripting software, though it may be possible to use the TM Warthog stick as well with their TARGET software.
Also if you're on the fence about this mod:

People have become really good to the point that it can be hard to get into things. Look for TLL or SJ guys, they're the two biggest and best clans in the game and they're full of good peeps, they'll help you out in-game. Maybe. The TLL guys will probably help you, the Jaguars, well that depends on who it is :D
Starting off is without a doubt the worst part of the game, I absolutely hate it since your meager budget of 49k is pissing in the wind as far as solutions. There exists a C-Bill donation system so asking for a bit extra to get out of the same inane Owens bull###### isn't a bad idea, but don't get greedy with it, especially if you're having longevity issues. Most of the vets tend to gravitate towards the laser-boat Owens as it's pretty capable all-around, and the lasers are particularly good against quick mechs. I've seen a lot of people succeed with the Kit Fox (the original name for the Uller - I'm a trueborn purist :D) but it's not my cup of tea - too flimsy and not overwhelmingly good at its roles.
Also you can sell your mech by putting it into a repair bay and pressing 'J' - you only get like 80% back though so make sure you can actually afford what you want to upgrade to.
Regardless, the biggest mistake newjacks make is overexerting themselves, running whatever ######mobile they happen to be in into the teeth of the enemy - that's only advised when you really know what you're doing, and I still wouldn't do it in anything other than a Shadowcat.
Why, because I said there's a lot of good players and the beginning of the game is the slowest part?
Stop being a little girl for once.
Gentleman lolfighter is correct in assuming.
BUT, as is the case with the learning curve of say Natural Selection the Half Life mod, practice and teamplay is greatly rewarded.
