Cimenatic editor help

Hi guys, wondering if anyone maybe knows an existing tut, or would be willing to do a tut on the cinematic editor?

I got emitters figured out but i cant get any of the other things to work for the life of me.

I asked Tig a while back in his maps topic but havent heard since from him.

Any slice of info you can give/explain would be nice to have, this can be text, pictures, videos, anything at all.
Something is better then nothing after all :)

I would be willing to do some simple tutorials for cinematics, but I sound awful on the microphone and the cinematic editor always crashes on me.

Okay, well, maybe. What is it most people have difficulty with? Because it's a lot of effort to describe the basics like origin and rotation etc.

Anything a mapper wouldn't know (i.e. has no translation from Spark Editor) would be useful

i would love some examples on how the different things in the cinematic editor are used, how they work and such.

Maybe its easiest for yourself as well if you just think up some examples that use some of the different tools the editor has to offer.
I only know a tiny bit of the emitters so far.

Well I guess I could make a basics tutorial that covers all the stuff a noobie should know. Then put into practice those techniques. I should probably make an episode list to organise my thoughts.

#1 - Basics (Origin, Rotation, Camera, Deleting)
    #2 - Emitters
    #3 - Models and Curves
    #4 - Emitters and Curves
    #5 - Actors and Events

Hopefully, this should mean each video is no more than 10 minutes long. Of course, it's going to take time to produce and edit each video. Curves covers two videos because the function of it varies slightly with emitters. #4 will probably be the shortest and may even be morphed into #3.

Here is a thread with a nice tutorial:
    <a href="http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=111668" target="_blank">http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/index....howtopic=111668</a>
    <a href="http://www.unknownworlds.com/ns2/wiki/index.php/Dynamic_Lights_With_Props" target="_blank">http://www.unknownworlds.com/ns2/wiki/inde...ghts_With_Props</a>

Regarding that tutorial I'm still not able to open .model files or any files at all (except .level files) with the file browser in the cinematic editor.
    Anyone knows this problem?

You're not supposed to, that's to open cinematic files. You use the view model object to import models.

Oh wow, I found out what went wrong after deleting the options file of the cinematic editor.
Months ago I've closed the selection window and forgot all about it and also completely missed that showing in the tutorial.
Apparently there is no way to reopen that with the window menu and right there in the selection menu I can pick a model for an actor object.
