Yeah, have it by droppning your current one (g) to pick up the new one, NS1 style. Really annoying being in a hectic fight, reloading just to auto-pickup a SG with 1 shell left xP

The ability to pick upp weapons with or without a key is too powerful (unnecessary) to be toggleable by the player in my opinion. We will probably get a pick up weapon key before 1.0 Or if we whine some more we will maybe get it in the next patch JK ;)

Yes, we don't like it either, and it's on our list of tasks. Most likely the implementation will be to display an obvious popup UI graphic showing the weapon when you run over it and saying press "E" or something if you want to pick it up.

--Cory<!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd--> Cory, any way we could toss a pie chart behind that showing the loaded magazine capacity, to prevent the one-shell-left from happening *anyway*?
PS- For Dev trollpoints, make the pickup weapon key be 'fire1' and not re-bindable for the first couple of patches.

auto-pickup when holding an LMG is fine. I just get pissed when it automatically drops my shotgun or grenade launcher to pick up a flamethrower. That shouldn't happen.

A toggle the options menu would be nice.

especially annoying when you auto pick-up a flametrower while you actually wanted a grenade launcher!!
in order to get the grenade launcher back you have to buy a new one at the armory and sacrifice the flametrower LOL :S
