Any chance that proper turning animations will be added?

Something that i find a very weak point in NS2 are the animations when players move around, look aound, turning quickly in battle. Etc. Instead of fluid movement you see players (marines and aliens) turning on a pivot without any animation to make it look real.

When i look at the NS2HD videos that is the main weak point. As a result from not having turning animations players simply are facing all directions on a whim and it looks bad. It looks too plastic and old fashioned.

I hope to see a rework of the movement animations in the future. Is there any intention from the devs to do that??

    they said before that they completely recoded the animation code, but its not yet in the game yet. So i'm pretty sure this will be adressed :)

    Good, cause the animations right now are terrible lol. Watching other players move around is like..wow, lol. It feels like half the animations are missing for player models.

    Actually, we're about to completely rip apart our animation system and put it back together. We want to make some big improvements here and Brian and Max have been working on some cool code in the background for this.

    They could, maybe. type /dance and have it happen.

    I laughed so hard when you type /dance in SCII and it had all your units dance...so epic.
