Because I've ran out of the good ones!
As the weather gets colder and my desire to freeze to death becomes ever smaller I needs me some animes to fill some time. I'll take anything!

I prefer something new tho... please don't post the classics... everyone here has seen them. I'll start with three series I just found. They are excellent.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Towa_no_Quon
Excellent style and story. It's about some people that develop special abilities, from super speed to being able to talk to animals etc. and an agency that wants to get rid of them. Really quite nice. It's a mix of fighting and drama.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Steins;Gate
Mystery at it's finest. You need to watch the first 3 eps to get whats going on, but you'll be hooked after that. It's about a group of people that created a microwave that can send messages into the past and it gets ever weirder from here. Favorite quote from the show so far: "Daru [overweight character of the show] is like the universe - constantly expanding."

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fate/Zero
Fate/Zero is so far a pretty standard fighting anime with a little political twist. Animations look smooth but so far only 3 EPs are out. Of the three this is my least favorite.

So yeah, keep'em coming.

Wasn't there a thread on this a while back?

Anyways, I've heard good things about Madoka Magica
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Madoka_Magica
Basically a deconstruction of the Magical Girl genre.

Phantom OVA (it is called something stupid like Phantom The Animation now). Only 3 episodes but amazing.

Shin Angyo Onshi. Korean Anime done by Japanese animators.

Freezing. Boobies and Aliens, what more do you want?

Maken-Ki! New Anime with fighting and boobs.

    Mayo Chiki! Halirious.

It's not new. It's actually the old one in a higher definition. Still good tho. :)

Highschool of the dead - Adult content and extreme fanservice but...nevertheless check out if it floats your boat. Like name implies, zombies and highschool survivors !

Deadman Wonderland - Criminals are admitted to a privately owned prison/entertainment park, main protagonist is a whiny teenage boy.

Black Lagoon Robertas Blood trail - You probably know of black lagoon, this continues it.

Blood C - Hilarious gore but otherwise not too interesting.

Bakemonogatari - A story about a girl who got her mass stolen by a "giant crab". Challenges a lot of anime rules which ensues a lot of "wat":s and laughter, I'm early on myself in this one.

Soul Eater - Not personally watched it yet but I've heard good things of it and seen some impressive animation from youtube mixes.

    New Thundercats - Mayhap?

Gurren Lagann - Not entirely sure if this is one of those instant classics, must watch anyway.

HotD is massively awesome. Already seen it.

    One thing I almost forgot:
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Katanagatari
Instant classic imho. Weird style and awesome story. The characters are all masterfuly crafted. You should take a stab at it. It's only 12 or 13 episodes but each ep is 45 minutes long.

You really need to watch steinsgate. It's getting better each EP.

Not really! On-topic continuation is good. It's the bumping of a thread, while asking the same question as the OP that's bad. Along with creation threads that already were posted before, oh hey were in one right now...

Also, I've not kept up with current anime. I'm actually in the process of having a look at the older ones... Outlaw Star and EXO squad are on my watch list right now (sure EXO squad ain't an anime, but it sure as hell is awesome :P)

I found 'Durarara!!' worth a watch, the dialogue is great and makes up most of the story. Highschool of the dead was pretty good too though anime+adult content is kinda lame to me. Code Geass seasons were both good too, I loved the plot twists to no end, it was as big of a mind fk as death note. The ending absolutely blew my mind.

As for some older stuff, black lagoon, which just got up to its 3rd season, is by far my favorite. The manga is a arc ahead too though it hasn't been updated in around a year. Blue Gender is good once you watch the first 6 or 7 episodes (ugh subs on this one, I couldn't even watch it in english), also found myself sucked into Elfen Lied to where I couldn't stop till I finished it, the creator really hit the head on the nail on 'wanting to make the audience sad' (manga gives waaaaay more story. Why did they not go with the manga, it was way better).

I'm surprised I can list that much, I don't like anime for the most part because most of it is too over the top for me.

I came across this site which has a bunch of dif anime

    http://www.crunchyroll.com/anime

my favs I have on it are these

Chi's Sweet home - Absolutely love the randomness!! they are only 40 sec videos, but OMG I LOVE IT!!! so awesome!! I just love Chi and her random personality!
Erin - good story line about a child who lived in a town that bred military lizards and then orphaned when her mother was accused of killing the strongest of the units and executed, leading into a story of her using her animal charming skills (forbidden skill) to tame the wildest of beasts and being thrown into an erupting war where she struggles to prevent her forbidden skill from recreating the devastation that it did hundred of years ago.
Asura Cryin' - about a teen in school who's ghost friend that only he can see is the key to a giant mech that he is forced into controlling and discovering the mystery of the very world he lives in and why they call it the "second world".

I havent checked the other ones, but there is alot on there.

oh I will also vouch wolfs rain, elfen leid and spice and wolf.

if anyone knows of any werewolf anime please tell me, I am a huge fan of werewolves, but it seems no one makes anime about them.. Just vampires :(

It's not a series, but I've been pointed to Redline, an anime film from 2009.

Think Speed Racer + Speed Racer insane cars/course + Scott Pilgrim assault on senses + ANIME

Re: Wolf's Rain, I never got around to finishing that. It had lots of beauty and I really liked it, but it never managed to really grab hold of me.

    Told ya :D

I loved how raw the violence was, the first few episodes have a few good 'woah' moments. I wish they had made the main character a little less whiney to begin with, but it makes for a good contrast later on in the story. I guess its mainly why I didn't like the english dub version.

I just started spice and wolf, I like it so far. Wish I didn't have ###### hughesnet internet right now uuugghhh. Seriously, if I had cell coverage right now, my cellphone would decimate it.

The new Last Exile series has started and its excellent (brilliant story, artwork and animation) and if you've never seen the original you should check it out too.

Others you should check out are:

katanagatari - Odd yet beautiful artwork with fantastic animation as well as instantly lovable characters (including the baddies) and great plot.

Toppa Tengen Gurren Lagann - Epic.

Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood - Mainstream but good show with a bit of everything, A lot better than the previous telling of the series.

Evangelion 1.11 and 2.22 (plus up coming 3.00) remakes - Jaw dropping retelling of the one of the most influential series of all time.

Eureka 7 - Pretty interesting series if a little flat toward the end, avoid the movie.

Gundam unicorn OVA's (on going) Exceptional animation, music and top notch semi retro art style and hey its got mecha in it !

Samurai Champloo - Cool hip samurai series from the makers of Cowboy bebop.

Eden of the East - Interesting and engaging series but is a little marmite with its art style.

Guilty Crown (currently airing) - Seems awesome so far with huge potential, great art and interesting concept.

Way to much to list but the above are some off the top of my head.

    =E

Yeah. I wasn't a fan at the beginning, but it all eventually falls into place quite well.

If only it were longer than 26 episodes.

Panigg there are also two Eden of the East movies that are worth a watch as they continue on the story.

In fairness to guilty crown its only just started so it might be worth keeping an eye on.

    Gunslinger Girl is amazing.

You become attached to all of the characters, including the villains.

It seems like the basic “girl with a gun” type of show but the plot and the characters are well developed, avoiding that cliché.
