This is just a mockup
Hey guys, I was just messing around in Photoshop and thought it'd be a good idea to make a mockup of a scoreboard. NS2HD has been doing an amazing job with recording and casting scrims so I thought I'd help out and give some ideas for how it should be shaped.
Lets just skip the talk and lemme show you. Note: This is not a final version, just something to show the community and get some talk about what they like and what they dont like. I think it would help out UKW if they already knew what the community thought should be in a replay editor/scoreboard.

Sorry to Inversion I'm just messing around guys, you're an amazing team:)
Additions from NS2HD:
1. Each team has a render of the starting person you spawn as:
More of a visual explanation of what team is on what side without using words
2. Color scheme matching each team. (Blue: marines; Orange: Kharaa):
Just visual. Is this important?
3. Show who the current commander is for both teams:
Nice to know who is commanding for each team
4. Show team res amounts for both teams:
Shows Team Res management
5. Show total resource towers both teams currently have up:
Gives more information how one team is ahead of another team
6. Short rectangle theme:
Just trying to go with something different than the long rectangle to show what they each add or take away from the visual. Really interesting to know what you think!
Main color:
White: I went with white here just to again show difference from NS2HD's black theme
Black: After about 4 minutes I thought the white was almost a bad idea but I'm still leaving it but now I'm gonna put a darker color scheme in

Remember guys, this is just a mockup to show different styles of replay editors/scoreboard, not for visuals except for team colors and main color.

shows commander / # of rts / team res, that's really good.
maybe show the mapname between the two teams?
And this is only visible to spectators, am I right?
I would make it less high and more wide.
have the two teams left and right and let them look at the center, extra info is spread out in a single line beneath those images.
another cool thing to add is to change the skulk and marine according to the tech lvl the teams have:
lvl 1: skulk or marine with rifle
lvl2: fade or marine with flamethrower
lvl3: onos or exoskeleton

or maybe move the two teams more to the corner and give the mapname it's own button

This is how i would see it, yes, perfection. Through this at the top of the screen and that would make the game a lot better to watch.
