[Alien Upgrade] Sense of Blood/Heartbeat

The comments give a good feedback, i think maybe this effect should be with parasite.
So humans will be visible like with veins or heartbeat and objects like buildings how parasite looks now.

The idea is to give the aliens a motion sensor.

They see the veins comming from the heart (its pumping with that sound).
If a marine is hurt very much, the heartbead is louder and faster (maybe its to annyoing then no sounds but visual!)

(MAYBE just see the heart and some veins not all veins...)
Works like parasite but you see every human, but if a marine stand still and don't move, his heartbeat goes very slow and he is barely visible.
If a marine for example is shooting, he is very good visible and his heartbeat also get faster(?).

I think this would be a very nice looking feature, you also could see marines without having them parasited in later games.

If the marien is parasited, the color of the veins change to yellow or something.
For later release or some fanmod, what do you think?


P.s. if this idea is not good, whats about (very transparent) veins on the screen as "damage" indicator?

    That's really not needed, that completely negates the need for parasites, neither team needs motion sensors.

    Fun idea, but no.

    There are enough ways to get that kind of info already, and the less the better imho.

    Between parasite and scent of fear I don't think anything else is needed.

    Looking forward to the tech lab though, get us some motion tracking!

    I can agree to that, seeing that kind of vision through a wall instead of just a red circle would be cool.

    I agree as well. The red circle is rather boring. The image you have is very cool looking. It feels more like the whole predator heat-vision thing. Plus, it would really help out new players. When I first played NS1, it took me a while to figure out what all those circles meant.

    I wouldn't mind having the parasite icon changed as well, but I feel it should be kept to have no indication of player orientation.

    Maybe instead you would just see the heart, and not the veins in the limbs. That way you couldn't tell the player's orientation.
