Shift ability: "Vacuum"

I was wondering about a (new) ability for the shift, this is what I came up with:
Create vacuum: triggarable by the commander:
Attracts evrything in the game that isn't alien.
Within a certain range, everything is attracted to the shift because it creates a vacuum around it. This will spread across corridors, pulling everything to it acoording to the pathing waypoints. (the negative pressure follows the map, you are not directly drawn to the shift through walls)
And with everything, I mean everything except bullets:
Grenades will fly to it,
players will slide to it: when you stand still, you slide fast, when running in the opposite direction, you can slow down the effect.
buildings move: for scrambling a forward base,
flamethroweflames get bended to it: rendering them less effective,
Why?
When marines are camping outside a hive, the commander can attract them in, within range of the hydras and especially whips.
It will become inpossible to snipe the hive when your constantly beiing pulled inside the room, and you need to move to negate the effect.
Just an idea that popped inside my mind, it needs some fleshing out

On a side note:
If this is truly a vacuum, it makes no sense for this not to affect aliens.
It would suck in Drifters, Lerks, spores, umbra, gorge heal spray clouds and slow moving alien projectiles such as bile bomb.
It makes some nice combos. I like.
