What do you mean by 'setup'?
I'm assumuing you mean the config screen you get when you click on Tools/Options/Game Configurations.
<b>If so, here is my setup:</b>
Configuration: NS
Game Data Files: C:\Program Files\Worldcraft\ns.fgd
Texture Format: WAD3
Map Type: HalfLife / TFC
Default PointEntity Class: light
Default SolidEntity Class: func_wall
Game Executable Directory: C:\SIERRA\Half-Life
Mod Directory: C:\SIERRA\Half-Life\nstr
Game Directory: C:\SIERRA\Half-Life\nstr
RMF Directory: C:\Program Files\Worldcraft\maps\NS
<b>Also make sure this is in your "Textures" tab:</b>
C:\SIERRA\Half-Life\nstr\ns.wad
You would, of course, want to change the directories to match those on your system, but you get the point. If doesn't help... well, I really don't know what the problem is. From what I understand, you are trying to compile or run a NS map with NS textures, using the defalut Valve HL WC config. Is this the case? I really don't know what you are trying to tell us here...
That's because the ns.wad is NOT IN your HL/TFC/CS folders... you need to manually remove it from the "textures" tab each time you want to make a level for a different mod/game. It doesn't matter if you are using any ns textures or not... it will still include some stuff in the bsp telling the game that it MIGHT use that wad. (Not very technical, but it gets the point across)
Also make sure there isn't any non-default wads currently listed in your Textures tab. They aren't in the nstr folder, so they will cause an error when you try to run an NS map.
There is a way to avoid having to manually do this, and as Merkaba said in the very first reply... there is documentation on how to do this in the nstr\tools folder.
