Addressing stalemates

At the moment stalemates can make the late game pretty frustrating or even boring.
I think I have a nice solution to fix them:
After a given time, the currently dominating team should get a boost / reward / advantage.
Imagine this magical counter going down and what it means for your team - you have to make damn sure you control most parts of the map when it shows zero. This should be a nice motivation to fight harder for res and territory!
There are several ways to implement this - here a few suggestions:
Time period vs. endgame timer:
-------------------------------------
- You could reward the dominance of one team every 15 minutes. If the other team is able to survive the next 15 minutes and even become the dominating side, they will be boosted next.
- You might set a countdown to something like 45 minutes and when they are over, the dominating team is getting a pretty big advantage to finish their foes off.
Ways to boost the dominating team:
-----------------------------------------
- The simplest approach would be a nice bunch of res or 200% rt income. But I think this might not be very helpful to end the stalemate, if that team already has all upgrades.
- You might introduce a cool special ability for both sides, which can be activated as a dominance bonus.
- It would be interesting to see some nasty thing, the loosing team has to deal with. Imagine automatic self defense on the map which will be activated to support the dominant team. This could be turrets or attacking robots.
- Change the surroundings to the advantage of the dominant team. Maybe a natural disaster?

You also may choose between a temporary boost or something final to end the game quickly, satisfying and dirty.

True, but until UWE can fix the underlying problems, some sort of endgame timer would be nice. I don't mind the occasional stalemated, 2 hour long game, but when it occurs in almost every public match its very discouraging. I'd say include an endgame timer in which once it runs out the team with control of the majority of the map tech nodes (i.e. have built either a hive or command station on them) wins. If neither team has control of a majority or the sides are tied, more time is added to the timer and the game continues. I'd let server owners set the time, but make something like 45min + 5min the defaults.
My idea just isn't getting enough replies, and I don't like bumping it myself, but at the same time, the aim of the power grid idea is to make power nodes work, and also prevent stalemate endgames. At least for one side it would definitely work.
As an addition to help the marines out late game(with the power grid idea), if they have enough power saved up, perhaps they could get a boost to infantry portals, at a much increased cost to power usage, and also damages the portals every time a marine warps in.

I'd prefer something they could put in quickly as a temp fix (i.e. endgame timer) and this looks like it would take quite a bit of time to get sorted out (i.e. new models/coding).
They can reuse the power pack model for batteries.
They reuse drifter or mac a.i. for pathing.
Unless uwe themselves tell me it's "too hard" I won't believe it.

I think it's pretty bad design if you always have to go to late game to finish the game. It's not good if you win the game halfway to 2nd hive and yet you're forced to tech up all the way to 3 hives.
Never said "you always have to go to late game to finish the game.". Basically what I had said simply is; when there's a stalemate currently, that same situation most likely will go away when more expensive tech is introduced.
We've suggested several ideas, but I think the devs are just waiting for end game tech.
Temporary solutions have been brought up, like if a team has at least 2-3 tech points and spends 200 team res, they get a damage and armor booster, or, if a team has 4 tech points, and they have maybe 500 res, they get an instant win re-searchable upgrade that upon completion wins the game for that team.
Silly ideas, but ones that would work none-the-less.
