issues with the server browser

<div class="IPBDescription">does not update anymore after joining server</div>yeah, so when i start up steam and run ns, server list populates just fine, but when joining a game, this time was it a full server which rejected me, i cant seem to update my server list, it wont populate and says no servers found. it finds my lan server though, just no internet games. ive restarted the game and tried again without luck. is there any port for the master server i could try to forward? does NS2 even use a master server?

    NS2 uses the Source-MasterServer, and occasionally it does go belly up for a short while, so that may be possible.

    Confirmed that it isn't working. Like I said, it may be down, or it may have changed IP and the DNS hasn't updated for you yet. It's also possible it just responds very very late (as if it was under heavy-load), so don't bash that refresh-button every 2 seconds, let it wait a while.

    I'm still waiting .. but cant play .... waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa............ somebody help me !

    is there a workaround ? maybe I can put this Source-MasterServer IP address into my local DNS. please help!

    If the "Join Server" button doesn't work copy the IP and type "connect IP" in console.

    wow thanks ... I really forgot that it contains server list.

    unfortunately none of servers from list are reachable ... that's weird

    (Firewall is OFF of course)

    Joining through Steam usually doesn't work. Don't know why exactly. It does work if you connect from the NS2 console, though.

    I'm typing "connect 95.156.232.240:27016" since CS 1.5 :D

    .. but no luck (on all of that servers ) ... hmm weird

    That is because with Source-games you connect to the same port as where the query-responder is positioned, where-as in NS2 you must connect 1 port below it, which is why steam://connect does not work. Usually it is 27015 you must use, instead of 27016.
