EDIT: Due to overwhelming requests, I have finished the NS2 Trials. Please don't try contacting me via the forums, as your requests will be ignored. I'm glad I was able to show many of you what NS2 is like, and I hope you'll all become/have already became loyal fans of Natural Selection 2 and Unknown Worlds Entertainment.

    Wow, before you go ahead and do that you should first view a couple of his WTF-videos. He goes over many aspects of the game quite critically, so you do not want to have him play NS2 in the state it is in right now, it'll get ripped apart.

    Totalbuscuit is an awesome member of the indie gaming community, but he is very critical of games(As he and all game reviewers should be), and he probably wouldn't want to even look at NS2 since its in closed beta and very incomplete.

    That said, when the game IS close to release, it would be a great idea to try to get him to do a "WTF is NS2"!

    To keep this on topic however, having a trial account is an excellent idea, and I like others in this thread recommend giving it to people who are completely unfamiliar with NS!

    Its all good cause hes not sharing is account, he is sharing is accounts. TBO I believe that the reason this is in the "Steam Subscriber Agreement" is not to try and prevent players from experiencing a new game.

    If we're trying to get technical about this, (I figured someone would say this) these are not "my accounts". I had three extra copies of the game and put them on three separate accounts and dedicated them to the NS2 community. As you are a registered forum member, that makes you part of the NS2 community.

    Steam doesn't ban IP address from their system for this it isn't a serious infringement, they will simply ban the account and you will lose the game. And that is only if they actually cared

    Hi Acid,

    I think this is a great idea. I have one more spare key I would like to give you so you can create another try-out-account. The problem is that I dont know which one is the unactivated. Got one special edition and two standard edition. The special edition is the one I am using myself, I sold one of the standard editions to a friend. Now I dont know which one of the standard editions is still unused. Any idea?

    give him both, steam will only allow the unused key be registered for the game, other one will just come up and say key in use

    It might be a good idea to contact UWE regarding which key is which. Also, you don't have to give the key to me, in fact, I think it'd be better for you to let people know right here in this thread. That way you can keep your key later, and give it to a buddy who could really use it!

    How do you set the accounts up so that they can be played for a time but you still got control over them? My knowledge about steam isn't enough to do that at least.

    By controlling the e-mail account it is attached to. It's having multiple accounts and <i>sharing</i> them out.

    So I also used my last free copy to create a test-account. Please send me a pm via the forums to get the username and the password. When you try to log-in I will send you the additional password for steam guard to activate your computer.

    Comes first, served first.
