You're susceptible to peer pressure?
I think you should buy me Dead Island. I really think that's a thing you should do. It'd be really rad.
Everybody would think you are so radical if you bought Dead Island for Stickman. Seriously man, all the hep cats are doing it. You don't want to be a square, do you?
Such a silly thing to ponder, but: I have 8 coal. I could trade (7 of) them for something else from the gift pile and still have one ticket to enter the grand prize drawing (plus whatever I might gather between now and then). The absolute certainty isn't much different wheter I have 8 coal or 1, but my mathematical side still says "that's 8 times as likely". And it also says "you'll likely just get a coupon you won't use".

Portal 2 is great.

Cool. I'll cross my fingers that the final sale day is all the previous sale days (as happened last year) and I'll pick up Portal 2.
I've been good so far: only bought Anomaly Warzone Earth for like £3. As well as Portal 2 I'm eyeing up Galactic Civ. 2.
And now I got Puzzle Agent 1 + 2, Deus Ex Human Revolution: The Missing Link (finally), Universe Sandbox...
Come on, people. Please. There must be someone who is willing to gift me Fallout: New Vegas with DLC in exchange for something of equal value. This german cut-version crap sucks. And with New Vegas the game is only avaible in german language in germany... - I hate this stupid country...
Tell me about it. I usually live in Denmark, but I'm spending the holidays with my parents in Germany. Twice now I've skipped a sale because I would've gotten the bull###### german version whereas I'd get the uncut one in Denmark. Everyone keeps harping on Australia for having stupid laws about computer games, but Germany somehow gets a free pass even though developers have to mangle their games to be allowed to sell them here.

I like New Vegas a lot, and of the DLC, only Old World Blues is really worth playing. The others are worth it if you manage to get excited about the storyline (they have slight plotline running through them that culminates in the last DLC), but they don't really stand well by themselves.
Dead Money: Extremely linear corridor shooter/smasher, which isn't really the strength of the new Fallout games (or any). Good characters with some decent acting and a not bad storyline, but the gameplay isn't great at all. Also a lot harder than the base game, but only really due to false difficulty (the enemies hit really hard and you've been stripped of all your armour and weapons). Once the DLC is done you can't go back to the area.
Honest Hearts: Crap. Storyline is crap. The main quest of it is terrible and amazingly short (seriously, I thought I was at the first plot twist of it and I was honestly surprised to discover that it was actually ending), the environment is pretty and different but there isn't really too much to keep you there. There's an unmarked quest where you track down the caches of a soldier who survived the war, though, and the diary entries are pretty good. About all that's going for it. The quest ends with teleporting you (with no explanation) to the exit of the area and leaves you with a box with rewards in that make no sense (the clothing and weapons of some of the main characters in the DLC, even though they're still alive and well). That's how much they cared about it. You can go back to it after you finish.
Old World Blues: Pretty damn awesome. It takes the 50s SCIENCE! theme and cranks it the hell up. You've got floating robot brains, robot scorpions, a plot fit for a 50s sci-fi b-movie and some enjoyable acting and stuff. Also you get a decent base, you can go back to the area once you've finished it, and it's a pretty fun place to roam. It is the silliest DLC out of the lot though (including FO3's so yes, even compared to the alien spaceship one it's silly). I enjoyed the hell out of it.
Lonesome Road: Another linear corridor shooter in the most literal sense possible; the entire area is literally a road that you follow (it goes through different areas but whatever). Only new enemies are reskinned, artificially tough versions of things you've already fought. The two highlights are that it gives characters a unique rocket launcher (big guns/explosives players are usually ignored when it comes to new weapons) and the fact that it finally finishes the Ulysses storyline, but I thought it kinda sucked so there's that. You can go back to this area after you leave but there's not really anything interesting to see unless you want to pick a fight with deathclaws that can kill a level 40 character in one hit.
*edit* (I remembered this literally as I clicked post, damn it)
The other two DLCs are just content packs. Gun Runner's Arsenal adds new weapons and weapon mods and such, Courier's Stash adds the bonus stuff that you got for pre-ordering the game from various places. I haven't checked but I'd be surprised if there weren't mods that added content that is either identical or extremely similar to what you get from these.

You read my mind Stickman, I was just about to buy the collection of DLCs but I felt worried about how much they would actually add. It's a bit sad they seem to only add new areas rather than factions or events that clash together with the original mohajve desert. It's like I'm playing the original as one game and the DLCs as standalone expansions rather than flesh out the whole experience nice and neat.

New Vegas ends (as in, once you finish the main questline, the game stops and you can't carry on playing), and they announced they weren't going to create any DLC that extends the game like Broken Steel did for FO3, so that limited them in what they could add to the game. Which is terrible, really.

I like that they're going in a different direction than last time... that takes balls. Heres to hoping for another good prey title.
You're susceptible to peer pressure?

Such a predicament!

Portal 2 is great.
Great to see that a lot of the achievements are for games I already own, or that I wanted for some time.

I hope there will still be a few killer deals before the end of the sale.
