Demo out January 17th. Sadly on origin and not on steam afaik, but still I'm getting excited for this game.

If you happen not to know anything about 38 studios then I can't blame you really, these guys haven't done anything yet, but check them out, it's really quite interesting and promising.

I know someone who went to work for them and I must admit to being a little jealous of the talent they're getting to work with :3

That said, the game itself looks a lil... generic. Combat looks decent, but I've not noticed any female 'fateless' yet which concerns me (will it be like fable 1 or GTA San andreas where you're just stuck with 1 preset male char but with customisation options? if so... :( )

If the game is completely generic but has an actually fun combat system... I'd be interested. That's my problem with all MMOs to date. (Other than PSO... but that doesn't really count. :) )

I don't think it's an MMO. 38 ARE working on an MMO in this world, but I believe this is the single-player/coop game they're starting off with to establish the setting first.

Ah. Well then. Very generic. ;)

    ...but very pretty too.

I'm think this was the project that Big Huge Games was developing when they got bought by 38 Studios. The lead designer is one of the designers I worked with on Titan Quest, so I'm interested to see how this turns out. A few other people from the TQ team went to 38 Studios as well.

Yes this is singleplayer but still, everything I've seen so far (except the graphics) have been tuned to almost perfection. Very interested what they make out of this one.

Demo is out on steam right now. Will be reporting back in a bit!

    Alright so here it goes:

    1. Combat: Feels great. Enemies attacks are really different, wolves will attack in packs, charging in two or more at a time, then return to the pack etc. attacks feel really solid. Autotarget on everything feels kinda weird at first but you get used to it pretty quick.

    2. Camera FOV: I dunno... felt like starring down a tunnel the whole game... maybe I'm just getting a headache but it made it hard to concentrate on the game.

    3. Menu: Kinda clunky. They could've change at least the invetory around so that it works better with a mouse but oh well.

So far I like it. But I don't see it becoming a real big hit.
