Commanders to Hotkey Screen Position

This is a simple quality of life suggestion that I feel would particularly help the alien commander:

Allow the hotkeying of a screen position. Works the same as double tapping a building hotkey in that your view moves to that building (except there isn't necessarily any building and nothing is selected).


Why is this needed?

As the alien commander it is possible and highly likely to have clusters of the crags/shades/whips in one area. Hotkeying all of the structures on the map isn't really an option, constantly changing your hotkeys between different clusters of buildings depending on where fighting takes place is needlessly complicated and relying on hotkeying one individual structure to take you to your totem-farm is really inefficient, especially because it could be destroyed and you'd then have no hotkey at all!

Being able to instantly move your view to your cluster of buildings then select the desired one seems like a much more elegant solution. Also would come in helpful with keeping tabs on infestation spreading, you can keep one of your hotkeys as a continually updated "infestation frontier" so you can keep tabbing back to it when you want to continue spreading.

This affects the marine commander too, but less so because on-use structures are less a part of combat on the map and more just a part of upgrading.

    Currently, Hive 1 (position) is allocated to (key)1.
    I would like there to be an option for a 'SELEcT ALL' (of this structure) key, such as CTRL does when right clicking on a unit in 'star-craft'.

    I like MuYeah's idea better. Like, hold shift+1 and click somewhere to assign that position the "1" hotkey.

    In starcraft they use (a subset of) F1-F12 keys for locations and 1-9 for units/buildings. But I guess you could use only 1-9 for units, building and locations.

    The select all is already in I think (try with some whips).

    Then just do it ^^. Works well in NS2.
