One time evolution on alien upgrades

<div class="IPBDescription">Insted of every time you spawn...</div>Currently when upgrades become available whether it be camo, frenzy, regen etc..., you have to evolve for every time you die. This can be quite frustrating if you decide on one strategy of attacking the enemy and have to redo the same upgrade process every time.

For instance you may want to be a sneaky skulk and pick camo, and frenzy and ambush a few marines.... the life span of this skulk is relatively short and to constantly have to redo this process gets tedious. Even more so with carapace when you know marines get armor free of charge and everytime they spawn.

What if we had an alien upgrade system that you could purchace once (for an increased price maybe 10 res insted of 2) that would stay as your prefered "loadout" until you either changed species or decided on a new evolution loadout. This would mean as soon as you spawn again you are ready to go with your chosen upgrades and can get right into the fight again.



Another idea would be to have a screen up when you are waiting to respawn to choose your species and upgrades. You evolve while in this egg so insted of being an egg twice to become a gorge why not let the player decide to prolong a respawn by a few more seconds to become a gorge straight up - if they have the required res!

    What about <u>introducing BIND~KEYS to upgrades in the options menu</u>?
    In NS1 I would bind (most of) my favorite upgrades to keys that I would otherwise not use in-game. BECAUSE, time is relative in this game, and if you've chosen "preferred loadout" and your hive is under attack you would spawn, then gestate.. And most likely die before ever confronting the opponent.

    Got to agree there, both of those would be a great idea.
