<div class="IPBDescription">I have 2 of it on steam to give away</div>If you're interested in playing <a href="http://www.uberent.com/" target="_blank">Super Monday Night Combat</a>, then I've got 2 copies of it to give away on steam :3
If you're already on my steam friends list then just gimme a shout here. If not then you'll need to add me. First people to apply get them :p
For those who didn't play the original Monday Night Combat, Super MNC is basically a third person shooter game with similarities to DotA. Your team must guide your bot forces to the enemy base to take down the shields around their money ball so that you can lay into it. If you destroy the enemy moneyball, your team wins :3

<a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=319RXdha-Ig" target="_blank">SMNC Trailer</a></div>
For the two who do get in, it's worth reading the invitational forums once you've installed it before you jump into the game as your first time in there can be somewhat overwhelming without a guide and they've not implemented the tutorial yet :p
I used to play the original constantly on my 360, so I'm hoping I like the sequel just as much. There's no reviews of this new one as it's technically not out yet (it's between beta and retail... they're calling it 'invitational' because you can only get in by invite just now :D )
For extra info, here's Giant bomb's small preview...

For those who miss out on my two copies, you can sign up to try and get into invitational <a href="https://uberent.com/User/LogOn?RedirectUrl=http%3A%2F%2Fuberent.com%2Fbeta&titleId=1" target="_blank">here</a>. They apparently do weekly invites so you may have to wait about 7 days before getting in :p

Can my rig hang? it's oldish....
Want me to send you it anyhoo? :3
<b>edit:</b> Do I have you on steam? Might need to PM me your steam ID if not :o It's hard to tell because a lot of people keep changing their names to weird stuff XD
Only issue I've had with it so far is that I can't access the options screen, which means I have to play the game on default graphics. Hopefully that'll get fixed soon XD
As for the second key, Aldaris caught up with me on steam and is now the happy owner of my second SMNC gift :p
Again, anyone else who wants a shot can try their luck by signing up <a href="https://uberent.com/User/LogOn?RedirectUrl=http%3A%2F%2Fuberent.com%2Fbeta&titleId=1" target="_blank">here</a>. Invites tend to be weekly so you'll probably not get in until next weekend though :o
That said, if anyone else gets any SMNCs to give away, feel free to do so in this thread :3
Looks like they're cloning a LOT of League of Legends' business model. Calling it an 'agent' instead of a 'summoner', free rotation of champs, skill mod slot unlocking by 'agent' level. Just a higher max 'agent' level. And unlocking everything but skins via in-game credits. Same with the adding new champs each week.
TAK's still not messaged me but I'll give him until the end of the day to PM me his steam name. If not, it's all yours Tal :3
~gives LF a consolation cookie~
Remember, you can still sign up normally and you should get in by next weekend if you do :3
<a href="http://store.steampowered.com/app/104700/" target="_blank">http://store.steampowered.com/app/104700/</a>
F2p and all that. Store page says you can request an invite.
TAK managed to message, so as soon as he accepts the friend request, my first copy will be winging it's way to him :3
I'll have to hop on this weekend to see if I bump into any of you XD
Some easy quick tips that are sadly easy to miss in the chaos of a game:
1. Don't die. I don't mean this in a funny way. If you're hurt, get out of the fight. You can heal extra fast back in the spawn room so retreat there, it's quicker than sitting in the respawn queue and it prevents you from feeding the enemy with monies :p If you can come out of a game with less deaths than your fellow teammates then you're doing well.
2. Tag stuff! You get money/xp for assists and if a robot you've shot in the last 5 seconds is killed you get some money/xp too so tag everything! (the only exception to this are the tiny, fragile slimbots, which you can easily kill so they don't give tag bonuses and only reward their killer)
3. PICK UP ALL THE THINGS!!! Seriously. Grab everything! You'll be surprised how often people miss picking up all those coins, juice and whatnot.
4. Don't get obsessed with kills. Seriously, killing people isn't that important. The game is won or lost all on the moneyball so focus on the lanes and keeping the enemy off that annihilator (button sitting in the middle of the map... if you press it when it's available it kills all enemy robots on the map instantly. It becomes available roughly every 5 minutes and costs $1000 to activate)
5. Remember to lock your class choice! When you pick your class at the start of the game, be sure to click the 'lock' button that lies under the character select or else someone else can take that character and you'll find yourself on Random :p
You're actually kinda lucky. The patch last weekend increased the lethality of the game. Before that people were like bullet sponges and could take 4 or more sniper headshots. now you can actually kill people in a reasonable space of time. Still not MNC quick though but I suspect people enjoy not getting one-shotted by snipers and 'sins so badly anymore, even though it never bothered me :p
Other things you'll have to get used to is how the old classes have changed. I can't speak for most of them but the assassin's cloak no longer hides her from players, only making you invisible to bots and turrets, but on the upside, as long as you don't do grapples, you don't uncloak when attacking so you can run into their base and catch people on low HP who think they're safe :p
Her sprint has also been dropped in favour of a super jump ability (Smoke bombs no longer let you jump super high, but it now means you can use your smokes to blind people and deactivate bots without losing your escape mechanic)
The assassin's cloak is actually MORE dangerous to snipers now because it is also silent. The old cloak was noisy as hell, which meant that I often had time to turn around and grapple an assassin approaching me from behind. Smart assassins actually turned OFF the cloak when approaching a target from behind.
As I don't have the cash to unlock the Support yet, I find that CombatGirl actually suits me quite well... aside from the kitty-turrets being seemingly near-useless aside from as a minor irritation and decoy/distraction. Dropping one or two at the bot wave meet-point and just using the healing gun does right around nothing so far as pushing the lane.
I'm definitely in favor of the lowered lethality over the original MNC. I stopped playing because a lot of the kills there felt incredibly cheap; peek around a corner, and a Tank or Sniper would have you dead before you could react, or the one-shot backstabs from the assassin.
The only major irritation I have now is in keeping with my team. The overview map needs work, and if you're on the wrong lane at the wrong time alone, it's FAR too easy to end up jumped by two or three enemies and grappled into a ring-out.
When pre-empting, they're best clustered in kitty nests around corners, and putting them in weird places can buy them a few more seconds of shooting as people work out where the hurt is coming from :p
That all said, the cooldown on them is pretty short so I often just toss them out in combat for added fire support. Try and throw them around or behind your enemy so they have to either ignore them or aim away from you to take them out.
If you really need the kitties to do damage, use your AoE turret boost power.
If you want to do damage with Combat Girl get good at using her combat laser as it deals out a fair amount of pain and if you get a good shot down a lane it can pretty much clear it of bots. Her nail gun secondary is considerably more damaging and has better range than her heal/hurt gun too.
As for the actual game, so far I've unlocked all Assault, along with all the enforcers and defenders. I'm pretty happy with Support, Gunner and Cheston (ie: The easy ones)
I'm finding sharpshooters and commandos are not quite my strong suit however.

You're kind of hard to miss with that big ol' electric mullet of yours.

It is. Except this week. This week is the week of cheap shots with Gunslinger, Assassin and Tank unlocked. Everyone rushes to choose Support, and most don't understand that a good Support is HARD to play most effectively; namely as a force multiplier, not just someone hanging back with the heal/hurt gun and occasionally dumping out a firebase.
Kinda with you on that. I suck as support. I'm great as Combat Girl, but suck bad as support. I think it's that I like the Combat Girl's ease of pushing with being able to quickly deploy multiple weaker turrets, instead of having a long delay between destruction of fire bases. Though Support's heal gun is actually rather damn awesome compared to Combat Girl's. Combat Girl's nail gun is far superior to Support's shotgun though. Sure, the shotgun is much more powerful at close range, and at long range the nail gun mostly sucks, however, it is good enough at close range, and serves as an excellent deterrent at long range. IF you need to retreat as support you are mostly boned as so many of the guns out range you. However, as Combat Girl you can back peddle and shoot, which is enough to get most people to duck behind a wall or something, even if you are plinking them for 10s. That and you can always toss out a turret, or 2. Support's air strike is loads better than Combat Girl's giant laser of doom though...
I still suck at all of the heavies. I just can't stand being slow AND in the middle of combat.
And I haven't tried out any of the assassins yet. I'm to afraid of nicking them from actually competent players, as, in the right hands, they are really deadly. That said, they are also worth some really easy kills as most people don't have the same reservations I do.
PS: thanks Scythe, I'm dumb :)
