i know 250$ is a big price tag, too big for most of us.
But! As more and more are sold, they'll get cheaper (and better) over time.

Well, the biggest thing coming to mind reading the above article is expanded view windows by changing the screen apart from aiming. peeking around corners, over cover, down a manhole, etc.
virtual 3d by properly simulating viewing angles.

Why not TrackIR??? About the same price I think but actually made for PC gaming.

Kinect for windows is also made for pcs and doesn't have you wear stuff on top of your headphones while still able to track your face.
Studying different bargain sites i found it costing around 200€ currently. not too much actually, imo.

Head tracking fits more in singleplayer games and simulators.
    This is a competetive FPS.

    Simply doesn't belong in it.

Won't be industry standard for a good five years.

The future is cool and all, but that's just it. It's the future, not the present.

I don't think it will take five years. Windows 8 will have a native support for this already, probably allowing for "minority report"-esque user interfacing.
