A brand new fan here. Just looked at the trailer. Love the jetpacks. Suggestion - give those puppies a bit more momentum, they feel like toys right now. If there is so much building stuff, maybe make a few maps that encourage that, with more open spaces and manouvering room, or just make the things no-clip(would be weird though). Anyway just registered to give you guys some suggestions and encouragement. The game looks and feels really cool. Oh and when I see the monsters side I really cant feel the weight behind them. Doesnt bother me so much with the humans but I get the feeling that the monsters should have some indication of weightiness, make them feel more dangerous/alive maybe? Waiting for the game anxiously! :)

Here's the thing about the Jetpack, it is not supposed to be a flying machine but more of an enhanced movement system for marines, they are a range team fighting vs a melee team so upping their momentum/controlability would make them quite overpowered.
And the thing about wide open spaces also give the marines a very big advantage over all aliens, even the Lerk would have trouble. Basic NS mapping rules apply :)

Hey! Happy for the response. By momentum I meant like weight wich would actualy make it a bit harder to control. As you are swinging a bucket of water kind of way. You are right about the space though. The aliens dont have the range of rifles so it would make it harder. The buildings/turrets/wtever might make it a little cramped though.
The game centers around player vs player conflict after all. I understand what you mean by momentum, but it's really hard to control them otherwise. Instead of thinking they're weightless you should imagine them strong enough to actually fight against it.
I'd still like to see skulk leap, gorge slide and lerk impact throwing marines over, though.
