lerk flight

<div class="IPBDescription">swooping</div>Very simple: in NS1, you could fly up to gain height but not horizontal speed, then hold the jump key down while aiming down-forwards, and the lerk would start swooping forwards (without pressing WASD keys). In NS2 if you try doing the same thing, you just slowely fall down (in Gorilla build). I think this detracts from Lerk flight.

    Hold space to glide.
When you glide it's much easier to do manouvres.

Lerk flight in NS2 is similar to NS1, with a few new mechanisms.

Holding jump alone allows you to aim downward without falling, and you can glide diagonally by holding Left and Right keys (with limited side strafe speed). To swoop downward, aim down, and hold Forward + Jump.

I was playing the new build expecting lerk flight to suck... and it was one of the few nice surprises. Much better than I expected.
