shouldn't that be a power node placement issue, and not a bile bomb radius issue though? it seems silly to me to keep an obviously brokenly powerful mechanic which affects all situations a gorge encounters (insane splash radius on BB) instead of moving the power node, which is a map-specific and location-specific issue.

Im pretty sure bile bomb range and splash are temporary. gorge will not always be long range siege. that would be lol.

Bile bomb is a crucial ability for gorges right now. Other than that, all they can do is heal, which granted is great. But where a commander can spam some medpacks, or throw down an armory, the aliens need a player or two to fulfill this role well. The gorge really need something else to make them worth while. Spit is more of a novelty, hydra are close to useless unless you are swimming in resources.

I wouldn't lower the damage much. Aliens need a way to siege entrenched marines and make them come out. Even the mighty onos is no match for 3 or 4 marines looking at a doorway, especially if the onos has to crouch to get through it. Bile bomb forces the marines to come out, and with how flimsy the gorge is, they often get an easy kill if he is unprotected.

In terms of gorge in vents hitting your base, this is more of a map design problem than a problem with bile bomb. Hopefully once welders are in game, we can change these base vents to weldable, so that marines can simply weld them shut before aliens get a second hive.

Quite possibly. We're still learning about how to place power nodes and we're getting better at it.
