commands for the options.xml ?

I have some question about the options.xml.

1. How can i bind "F1" "j1", bind "F2" "j2" ,bind "F4" "rr" ....without a third party programm.

2. I have some trouble with low fps soI copied
r_shadows 0
r_flash 0
r_bloom 0
r_atmospherics 0
r_fog 0
into the options.xml somewhere between <graphics> </graphics> it seems to work until i die. At leatst r_fog will restet to r_fog 1. The options.xml is read only.

3. why doesn't <Jump>MouseZ</Jump> work? (jump with mousewheelup mousewheeldown)

There'll be a better support for these soon I guess. People have been voicing that currently changing settings and binds is a bit clunky.
