I even don't notice the blobing whil sprinting.
It all iritated me also in the beginning, but somehow it does not anymore.

Yea there's too much wobbling going on (sprinting, reloading, jumping et cetera, all cause some), where-as NS1 had none of that.

Hrm... NS1 is quite dated though....

I would personally prefer to use BF3 over NS1 as a reference for making an immersive first-person multiplayer experience

A matter of taste obviously. I find BF3 to be a quite bland experience, all style and no substance. I doubt 5 years from now people will look back and say "wow remember how awesome and fun BF3 was?". NS always had a more arcade-ish approach that put fun and fluid game mechanics over realism and immersion.

Agreed, it is very irritating. Nothing should affect the crosshair's position. You can't track enemies if the crosshair moves up and down.
