<div class="IPBDescription">For moviemaking purposes</div>Now that player is working hard on a gamestate recorder for ns2, can we get a command similar to GoldSRC's "startmovie" command implemented?
In the half-life engine you executed the command in console like this:
startmovie NAME 180
That made the game write 180 screenshots per second, in uncompressed quality. That you later could merge into an uncompressed .avi file.
Is it possible to create a command similar to this, in spark?
Is it already a planned feature? Or something you would like to add to your list of features to implement?
Can we expect to see it before release?
I think this would help the community alot in their movie creations.

Wanted to bump my post, as I think this would be a very useful feature in combination with the gamestate recorder.
Hopefully the devs can give a reply on if this is possible?

I doubt they'd even start working on this before NS2 v1.0 is released. We already have something that can mostly accomplish the same thing (screencapture software), though I will agree that an equivalent to the Source Demo Recorder in Spark (Spark Demo Recorder?) would be awesome. In the meantime, we'll just have to wait for player's GmOvrmind gamestate recorder.
