<div class="IPBDescription">Watch these two teams go head to head on Turtle.</div>Hey guys, thought I'd take another crack at casting. This time not with an ENSL PUG but for a true scrim with the European teams Duplex and Arc(haea!) on Evil_bOb 1's popular map Turtle

This first video is purely analysis of the map and some of the tactics most often employed upon it, recorded whilst the teams were getting ready for the match. Just skip this if you're only interested in the games themselves.

Round one with Archaea taking the first shot at marines.

The second round was a big one with a lot of great back and forth between the two clans, so I split it into 2 due to my dreadful upload speeds.

I started to mutter a tad towards the end of the cast(so tired!) and I also realise that I managed to call Bridge- Engine - more often than not :P. Enjoy!

    Thanks for the cast !

I the first game we wanted to get early pg with sentries in engine, but scrajm crashed at the wrong moment so it was a bit messed up.

In the second game I think the critical moment was after we took down the pg+sentries in engine, the marines pushed out together and we failed to prevent them to get a new pg up, after that it was really hard to come back.

    Nice casts Arkanti :)

Does Arc have a website / steam group I could add to the NS2HD.com list?

Something should have clicked for me before this point, of course Arc stands for Archaea... my bad. Sorry for mislabelling you all in the thread and videos.

Edit: Have fixed it up everywhere besides this thread's title; I'm not sure how to edit that.

Great games! Some real hot action!

I've seen loads of marine wins on the map but it needs a good organized team. Marines really need to put pressure on the alien team quickly and get out of their base which we saw the Duplex team doing very effectively. On Marine games where we've focused on getting all the Res around base too quickly often results on aliens gaining map control. All that Res around base can really lure a greedy Com and divides the team in numerous positions :p While a Com which takes those positions one after the other with a cohesive team is much more successful and can really hurt the rushing aliens.

I've said this many times already but there are two meanings to the name of the map, first off the design of the ship which resembles a turtle and secondly it is a pun on words as Marines really have to avoid turtle-ling if they want to achieve victory. No turtle-ling in Ns2_turtle :p

Edit: Going behind those grates in Cargo is a nice idea, I will look at making that a usable vent.
