"Guard" command

I'd love to order marines to protect an ARC, and I'd love to have a MAC follow around a dedicated maintenance marine. This is a standard RTS order, so why not?

+1, should also be similar to the build waypoints that are automatically assigned when you are close and don't have another order. Much love to the dev that added that btw. I love the build animations.. giggidy.

Sounds really nice, yeah. Especially if the MAC, who is set to follow a marine would repair near buildings, but when the marine moves on, it would follow him again.

Why would that be useful? Just get the marine to buy a welder.

Because a marine who welds, can't defend himself. If a marine got his "own" MAC he can focus on defense, while the MAC does the boring part automatically.

Or you could get a buddy cop movie with a rine and a MAC.

    That's what I want dog.

One is a construction robot! One is a space marine!

How about Teamwork, one marine with a gun covers the other with a welder?

But what, if there are two aliens? And you only have 2 marines on this side? You would want both to cover and a MAC to build. And if there is no alien, it builds even faster with an additional MAC. And what if it is full moon? Srsly. Stop trying to construct other ways that are useful too. It is just a nice addition to have the possibility to send a MAC without ordering it around every other second.

    +1 to OP

Also a patrol command for MAC

Set a patrol path and mac will follow path an systematicly fix or repair anything on it's patrol.
