Is it my connection, or something else?

<div class="IPBDescription">Major connection issues and rubberbanding</div>I know a bunch of people have been having issues with the memory leak effect on servers with build 198, but I am not sure if that's what is going on with me.

When I play, I get "Connection problems" or whatever the message is about once every few minutes. Sometimes my ping spikes up into the 300s, when it's normally 70-150. My fps will get jaggy, and sometimes there is persistent rubberbanding that doesn't go away the entire time I'm on the server.

I don't know if this is an issue with the build, my comp, or my connection. I ran a speedtest when this was happening one time and got 13mbps download/1mbs upload. I am playing over a wifi connection to a router in the next room.

The absolute worst case of it happened tonight, when my ping went up to 999 and stayed there for 10 minutes. It looked like I was running around in the game, but who knows what was actually happening. Eventually it froze and I manually disconnected. I took a screen shot with r_stats and net_stats. Can someone look at it and tell me what's going on?

Thanks.

Do you have any firewall programs on your system?

No, the only things that are remotely like that are AVG antivirus and Windows Firewall. Windows Firewall shows Natural Selection 2 as an allowed program.

Hmm have you tried opening the Steam ports through your router?

You can check your connection with ping plotter, by pinging a close server :
