really would like you guys to add these options -
First off let me say im a big NS2 fan so i dont want this thred to come off sounding like a whine about NS2 and yes i know its a beta

But i hope this suggestion gets taken with advice and development wise it should be a very simple and easy to do one -

Can we get some more options added for interface like

option 1 (disable atmospherics ) r_atmospherics 0 (a check box under options would be nice! (failing that tell me how to add it to my config file so i dont need to retype the command every time -
option 2 (disable shadows option) r_shadows 0 (give us the option to turn this off it drops alot of peoples fps) and sense the maps themselves have shadows,
i dont see a need for a 2nd set of shadows based on dynamic lighting only
option 3 (disable ambient sound) give us an ambient sound slider so we can at least turn it down or off entirely

Thanks for considering these options! ++

The non flash mod by fsfod may help you with option 1 & 2.

You can use the Experimental Non Flash Menu to save changes for the atmospherics. I do agree that having to disable r_shadows every time is annoying, though. Concerning ambient sounds, a dev has stated that an ambient volume slider may be in the works:

I cant tell you how anoying it is to walk near a vent and hear the STEAM sound of a grate overpower the whole game

seems like ambiant sounds are like 400% the volume of any other FPS or game in general
