Weapon firing speeds not planned to be moddable?

I was poking at the balance.lua and noticed that changing the weapon firing delays (at least for pistol and shotgun) doesn't actually affect the weapons. The firing speed seems to be tied to the animations somehow.

The firing speed of weapons isn't planned to be moddable then?

they are controlled through the animation graph. you can see it in the Viewer by opening a view model file and load the relevant anim graph (Window -> AnimationGraph)

Is there any help available for the animation graph yet? For me it seems that I can't actually control in the animation graph when an animation ends. It seems as if its tied to the animation somehow when it's done. If you look at the pistol firing animation, it emits "end" even before the animation is done playing, and I can't see anywhere in the graph how to change when that "end" is precisely emitted.

I tried changing some of the values, for example how fast the pistol firing animation should play (normally 1.55), but wheneven I tried to change it, it would reset back to the value 1.00.

Either some options aren't displayed or they're hidden in the animations themselves somehow.
