NS2 Hi-Tech Textures

Is this what you wanted?
I was recently going through some threads and saw that people wanted new textures so they could make hi-tech maps. I don't know how this would go but I thought of two things that would be in hi-tech maps. These are some things I put together and I'll be adding to later.

PLEASE: Tell me what is bad and tell me what is good. I have no idea what mappers think, do, or need for this so I really need feedback. I've been working and taught myself Photoshop for the past 5 years and starting to teach myself 3DS Max so I hope I can also help with props in the near future if possible.

First thoughts:

Grate

I don't know what I'm supposed to make it look like but I hope I can help this problem.

It's really about clean metals and surfaces, rather than all the rusty surfaces which are currently available. Just think of hi-tech environments, and make textures along those lines.

Here is a pic from an album I have online for NS2 inspirations. It's very similar to the floor tile you have produced :)

Here is the album link - http://photobucket.com/NS2MapIdeas

Take a look and see what inspires you :)

I know a lot of people were looking for those hi-tech looks. The only thing that I would do in addition to the tiles you have is make another with some variation in the tile. It'll look too static and artificial. Like Soul_rider's picture in the lower left, even those white tiles have some dirt to them. Otherwise, thanks for taking the time to do some modeling. I'm sure everyone appreciates it.

Can you load these up in the editor and show them in the game?

I'm interested in using some textures for a laboratory that is a pristine white.

Sorry to hijack but ... if you guys can provide me with a bunch of reference material of the kind of stuff you want, I would be happy to work on a texture pack of cleaner more "high-tech" textures. I'm not doing much texturing at work these days and I need to keep in practise, would be good to be productive with that at the same time. Contact me via PM so as not to clutter this thread up please.
