Turning off Tooltips?

After my graphics card fried i'm forced to play the game at 800x600. It's quite playable, but the only thing that seems to defy the resolution are the tooltips. They take more than half the screen and you can forget about the chat. With higher resolutions one doesnt notice, but they appear all the damn time... And there is no reason for them to be quite honest.... Anw, can someone please fill me in on how i can disable them?

    The NS equivalent of cl_autohelp 1/0 is indeed required here. It's not in NS2 yet, but certainly should be in!

    Does that mean they got rid of all the tool tips, or just changed them?
